We here at Juice Radio are big fans of local charities and we wanted to take a minute today to recognize one based in Portland called the Morpheus Youth Project. The student run charity is designed to teach critical thinking, understanding, and life skills training through arts, music, and radio journalism to the incarcerated youth that really needs it. They will be hosting a charity event in Berbati’s (Ted’s) in downtown Portland at 19 SW 2nd Ave. PDX on May 26th with all proceeds going to the charity. The cover is $5 and its just for the 21+. Juice Radio is currently down since last night. We’re currently working very hard investigating exactly what the problem was that caused the failure and have even seeked a second technical opinion on it. Heather Gin emerged victorious comanding 85% of the vote over the equally soulful Sean Carson in Juice Radio’s 55th Fresh Coast Faceoff becoming the first female to win since Latin Rose in Faceoff #13! We’ll be sitting down with Heather soon to discuss her upcoming EP “HG” working with important figures such as Vitamin D, and being a buisnesswoman in a male dominated industry. Look for all that soon, but in the meantime Faceoff #57 starts tomorrow featuring new completley new artists.
